Arrow Season 4 Episode 18: Eleven-Fifty-Nine

Murmur AKA Michael Christian Amar was created by Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver in Flash: Iron Heights (August, 2001). He was once a respected surgeon, and started a killing spree to quiet the voices in his head. He was captured by the Flash, Wally West. He was sentenced to death, but his blood was so abnormal the lethal injection would not work on him. He later cut his own tongue out and sewed his mouth shut. He has not appeared since the New 52.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 Episode 10: Progeny

Per Degaton was introduced in All Star Comics # 35 (June/July 1947) by John Broome and Irwin Hasen. Pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths, Per Degaton was obsessed with time travel. He was the assistant to the Time Trust, a group of scientists who studied time travel. The Time Trust sent the Justice Society of America 500 years in the future to gain a bombing defense. Degaton sabotaged their efforts, thus leading to his split with the Time Trust. He tried to change history for his own benefit and failed multiple times. One Time Travel attempt led to his learning how to travel between the multiple Earths. This led to the first team-up of the JSA (Earth 2), The Justice League of America (Earth 1), and the All-Star Squadron (Earth 2) against the Crime Syndicate of America (Earth 3). Post Crisis on Infinite Earths, Degaton terrorized the JSA and JLA multiple times using time travel and technology from the future. Degaton’s uniform mimicked the Third Reich; he was a self styled Time Despot.
